Support Services Division

The Support Services Division is responsible for maintaining police records, as well as proper storage and handling of evidence and personal property. This unit is staffed by a records sergeant who oversees civilian employees within this unit.

In addition, the following are also assigned to the division:

The hiring unit is responsible for maintaining scheduling of police officers as well as hiring officers for extra duty assignments.

In conjunction with this division is also a court liaison. This position requires the court liaison to maintain and submit all necessary court paperwork, including arrest reports, subpoena's, and citations.

The Crime Analysis unit is also within this division. The crime analysis unit is responsible for monitoring and mapping crime trends throughout the city to better facilitate appropriate deployment of resources.

The Crime Prevention Unit is also within the Support Services Division. The Crime Prevention unit is currently staffed by a Sergeant and an Officer. The DARE unit and Public Service Unit is also within this division.
